How I Invite Good Energy into My Life

How I Invite Good Energy into My Life

A few weeks ago, I caught a zen show on TV. It aimed to help people, especially women, who were drowning in modern life's stress and anxiety, losing themselves in the busyness and disconnecting from their souls. The show's purpose? To reunite your body, mind, and spirit, so you could rediscover joy and happiness.

One episode featured a feng shui expert entering an attendee's bedroom. She instantly sensed an overwhelming darkness and emptiness. A sad-faced woman hung on the wall, the decor devoid of the vibrant energy a sanctuary should radiate. Later, the expert swapped it for a photo of a couple beaming with love. Her intention? To infuse the room with love and happiness (along with other elements I don't quite recall).

This resonated deeply. It reminded me of a canvas I hung years ago, when I was single. It was a photo of a girl floating alone on a beach. Peaceful, yes, but it also evoked loneliness, emptiness, and a lack of fulfillment. When I realized this wasn't the energy I craved, I discarded it instantly. I yearned for a bright, cheerful photo surrounded by loved ones – that's the energy I wanted to attract.

So, yesterday, I revamped my painting (it hangs by my bedroom window). Originally, it was a vague blue canvas with quotes I scribbled a few months ago. Now, it boasts two interconnected hearts with the message: "You are wildly loved." It's a dual reminder: to prioritize self-love and self-care, and to connect with the love I desire for myself and my future partner.

Finishing that painting, I felt joy bloom in my chest (and still do whenever I see it). Just a shift in colors and a mindful message can unleash so much joy and positive energy!

It's all about our choices, the energy we consciously choose to invite into our daily lives. Choose wisely. Be mindful of your company, the movies you watch, the music you listen to, the words you speak, the people you spend time with, the newsfeed on your social media, the vibe of your content on these platforms, the actions you take, and the work/job you do every day. Check in with yourself often and ask these questions: Is what I'm doing serving the person I want to become? Is it contributing goodness to the world, or the opposite?

Remember, when you choose to invite good energy into your life, everything starts with you first. It’s a simple rule of resonance, you attract what you give out to the world:

If you want love, be more loving.

If you want to be heard, practice to be a good listener.

If you want to be wealthy, give more.

If you want the truth, be honest.

If you want passion, be passionate.

If you want to be respected, be respectful.

If you want more peace, learn to be at peace with yourself.

If you want freedom, let go of the past.

If you want to heal, learn to name your suffering.

Be the kind of person you wish to be with. Everything begins from you.

When your words, thoughts, and actions are in alignment, you start attracting good energy to yourself and also manifest the life you desire.

Your Energy Audit: A Guided Reflection

What have I cultivated to invite good energy in my life?

Who are the ones that lift my energy up when I am around?

Who are the shadows that dim my light when I'm around them?

What story does my bedroom tell? What is the main theme of my bedroom’s decoration? Do these things in my room bring me good energy and balance? Stepping into this space, do I feel like a bird taking flight or a butterfly trapped in a net?
