Therapeutic Art Coaching for Parents

Course Overview:

‘Therapeutic Art Coaching for Parents’ is a 6-week course designed to empower parents and caregivers of autistic children or those dealing with stress and anxiety. By exploring the power of creative art expression, you'll learn practical tools to support your child's well-being while also nurturing your own mental health.

Why This Course?

Inspired by a friend's enrollment in my free trial course, I created this program to help individuals on their journey of self-discovery and emotional connection. While initially focused on personal growth, I realized the potential to support parents of autistic children. Despite initial hesitation, my intuition guided me towards this meaningful path.

Understanding Autism and the Power of Expressive Art

I believe that autistic children are not broken; they simply perceive the world differently. By embracing their unique perspectives and communication styles, we can create a supportive environment for their growth.

Research has consistently shown the effectiveness of art therapy in supporting autistic children's communication, self-expression, emotional regulation, and overall development. By learning therapeutic art techniques, you can create a nurturing space for play and connection with your child at home.

Prioritizing Your Well-being

Parenting a child with autism can be challenging. Remember, taking care of yourself is essential for effectively caring for your child. This course will equip you with:

  • Therapeutic Art Techniques: Practical art activities to engage with your child.
  • Emotional Wellness: Strategies for understanding and managing your own emotions.
  • Self-Discovery: A journey of personal growth and transformation.
  • Daily Practices: Tools for self-care and well-being.

Why Focus on You?

Parenting is a lifelong commitment. By investing in your own well-being, you'll be better equipped to support your child's development. This course will help you cultivate self-love, find joy, and create a positive environment for your family.

As shared by Dr. Shefali  Tsabary, "For only through interaction with the parent’s own developing consciousness can change take place within a child."

Beyond Therapeutic Art Activities

While this course focuses on learning and practicing Expressive Art, you'll also gain valuable insights into personal growth and self-discovery. By applying the techniques and practices learned in this course to your daily life, you'll become a more empowered and fulfilled individual.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are you going to teach me Art Therapy so I can use it with my kids?

No, I won't teach you formal Art Therapy techniques for use with your children. Instead, I'll use Therapeutic Art and other tools to help you explore your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. This will improve your personal well-being and prepare you to become a more conscious and supportive parent. Through our sessions, I'll guide you through various art activities that you can then use to play with your children and foster their communication, creativity, and self-expression.

Do I have to do some art exercises with you?

Yes, each session will involve art-based activities tailored to your specific needs and challenges. These activities will help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

How can I apply what I learn from you with my kids?

Remember, this course isn't about treating or diagnosing your children. It's about equipping you with tools to support their growth and development. By using art-based activities with your children, you can foster their creativity, communication, and overall well-being. Children love to play, and these activities can be a fun and engaging way to connect with them.
